Negotiate agreements with suppliers to achieve optimized TCO (Total cost of ownership).Support 19 plants in major supply / delivery issues. Identify opportunities for best cost country sourcing. Lead global cross functional teams to leverage Tenneco worldwide purchase. Support supplier development team to grow best in class suppliers.

• Commodity Buyer responsible for the procurement strategy of stainless-steel coils and sheets for all FCM plants as well as major Tier II suppliers spread across the USA, Mexico and Canada.• Supplier portfolio with over $300M annual spend and a consumption of more than 100k metric tons of steel.• Managing a panel consisting of major steel mills from the USA, Mexico, South Korea and Japan.• Allocation and sourcing decision maker, ensuring that the purchasing organization follows the group strategy respecting price targets, timing, quality and non-cost criteria such as contracts, ethics and performance.• Budget preparation and continuous reporting and forecasting to secure the target P&L ratio.• Negotiate annual price reductions and incentivized volume agreements for each supplier in order to achieve company savings targets.• Contributing to a positive cash flow by negotiating payment term extensions.• Successfully managing risk mitigation during the unprecedent pandemic that caused bankruptcies andresource shortages and thus preventing the company from any profitability or legal impacts.• Supporting all plants as well as Tier II suppliers in managing global steel shortages and finding availablematerial to avoid any production line disruptions and OEM impacts.
