I have been currently working in Ground Station of Gokturk-1 Satellite which is a high resolution earth observation satellite (greater than 50 cm) designed and developed for the Turkish Ministry of National Defence by the space companies Telespazio and Thales-Alenia Space. I lead a team of 6 persons as a Network & System Chief Engineer in order to monitor, control and verify all the electronic and network communication from satellite to antenna and to all subsystems on the ground segment including telemetry, telecommand, crypto systems as well as part of the X-band & S-Band communication systems to archive-storage systems.One of the main responsibities is to tune performance by ensuring high availability of infrastructure which contains different type of servers, workstations, switches, firewalls, routers, voip and network equipments etc. that mostly consist of Cisco, IBM, HP, Idirect vendors.VLAN(L2-L3), NTP, DNS, DHCP, POE, VOIP, SLA, Fiber Channel, Ether Channel, Dynamic/Static Routing, Switching, ACL, Spanning-Tree, LACP, HSRP, NAT, configurations and TCP/IP connecion process/states and physical layer issues continuously monitored and interventions are taken if any problem arises.Experienced Network Monitoring Tools are Cisco Adaptive Security Manager, Cisco Security Device Manager, Cisco Network Assisstant, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Nagios, Zabbix, Cacti, HP-ILO, IBM-AMM.NETSEC and TEMPEST activities with subcontractor companies. Creating or editing the procedures which might be used for operation, maintainance, preventive or corrective activities. Preparing weekly and montly reports.Working directly on the field, coordinating and providing support to technicians, working in coopeation with all other engineering and administration teams and participating meetings.Utilized network equipments are Cisco ISR Routers, Cisco Ctlyst Switches, Cisco Nexus Switches (Fiber SW), Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco UCS Servers,VOIP Phones, IBM Blade Switches.

I worked as a Project Manager for Eurocontrol ARTAS V8B4 Upgrade Project of DHMI (General Directorate of State Airports Authority in Turkey). ARTAS (ATM suRveillance Tracker And Server) is a system designed by Eurocontrol in order to help in aerial surveillance and air traffic control. My key responsibilities for the project were:[Management] Organizing Progress Meetings with Customer, keeping track of MoMs, managing reports and necessary documentation.[Management] Activity and resource planning, controlling time management by ensuring customer satisfaction.[Integrator] Installing ARTAS V8B4 from scratch, creating kick-start installation and migrating from V8B4 to V8B2 in accordance with Eurocontrol prosedures.[Integrator] Performing basic tuning for migrated or a new ARTAS Installation.[Integrator] Tuning ARTAS within the help of SASS-C, SDL, GENGATE tools.

Specialized in electronics and telecommunications engineering, I was responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and validation of advanced network architectures, hardware/software installation, configuration, deployment and integration of systems for Air Traffic Control(ATC) Project. I worked for SMART (Systematic Modernization of ATM Resources in Turkey) Project in Ankara as a Site Manager and for all other relative sites of SMART Project where Ankara was the center, Istanbul was the backup and Izmir, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, Ercan (North Cyprus) centers were auxiliary sites.

I worked directly on the field and also in the center office, followed the subcontractor companies’ works for all the Electrical & Electronics Systems of a technological building during the constructional work phase of SMART Project.
