About Agust R.

Graduate of Psychology at UNCC with degree interest in continuing education to obtain a LCSW as a therapist. I have taught children and adults martial arts for several years that encouraged personal development, goal setting, creativity, as well as a constructive outlet for many in the community. I branched out to teach swimming to babies through adults, accommodating to special needs students and sensory learning for young children. Most recently, working at a non-profit to educate grade schoolers in financial literacy and career readiness while fostering critical thinking and mental health soft-skills as well as advocating for the IDD community. I have studied psychology at CPCC and obtained an Associate of Arts degree while also expanding my knowledge in sociology, philosophy, ethics, and even the interconnection of mythology and culture. I am seeking opportunities that highlight my educational background and develop skills in counseling psychology while incorporating sociology, diversity, community, social work, education, and holistic healing. I am most driven for experiences and courses that encourage cultural understanding, community outreach, psychological and interpersonal development, and overall well-being.
