Terminal Pesquera Puerto Capurro - Wharf in Montevideo BayLocated in the Montevideo Bay, the project consisted in the building of a 1,000 meters wharf, requested by ANP (Administración Nacional de Puertos). It provides a 52 acres protection area for up to 50 fishing vessels simultaneously with an 8 acres loading zone. Capability to dock vessels up to 2.500 tn, length 270 ft and draft 20 ft. Budget USD 130 million.- Formulated different concrete mixes applying the rational method to use in the project (pumpable concrete to cast piles and to cast the superstructure, and high flow concrete used in the precast beams) and prepared reports for client approval supporting the Project Manager. - Performed pile testing by Cross Hole Analyzer method (PDI Pile Dynamics Inc.). Field testing, analysis of data and reports. (311 piles) Considering the testing as a critical point in the production schedule, the analysis minimized the waiting from weeks to days. - Generated quality control procedures and testing plans by extrapolating data from project requirements. - Conducted, along with a team of technicians, different on site tests such as fresh concrete, strength concrete, aggregates, soil and non-destructive test on piles. - Operated Nuclear Gauge and Cross Hole Analyzer (PDI Pile Dynamics Inc.). Performed geotechnical investigation like SPT, DPSH to determine the rock bed, and core drilling concrete piles. - Developed spreadsheet (VBA coding) to reduce working time on repetitive tasks.- Trained and directed a team of 3-7 technicians on field inspections: concrete, soil and material reception.Full time. Budget USD 1,300 million. Built with span-by-span erection with self-launching gantry (DEAL - Rezzani de Eccher's). It removed eight vehicle crossing gates bringing a safety and efficient vehicle traffic flow.- Participated in daily quality control inspections with client inspectors to classify precast products in stock. (1017 segments)- Supervised and assisted production engineers with piling, post-tension activities, injections in post-tension ducts and concrete repairs. - Coordinated piling tests PIT and Cross Hole with external vendors to allow the Production team to reach the objectives before the deadline. - Distributed and delegated quality requests for information (RFI) to sector managers. Treated of non-conformance through a management system.- Planed and organized tasks for a group of up to 7 technicians in collaboration with the Laboratory Supervisor. - Assisted in non-destructive welding test, liquid penetrant testing in metallic structures and ultrasonic test in rails.Full time position.
