Summary:It was a large project of 3300 hectares with many logistical difficulties, to open newseedable areas and produce cash crops in an irrigated and dryland surface. I was thehead of all the establishment, the planning and executing of all farm activities, budgetingwith internal and external audits, record-keeping, and decision-making.Responsibilities:Lead the teams of deforestation, soil preparation, sowing, spraying, manual weeding,harvesting, farm logistics and human resources coordinating with middle managers.Form the work teams, looking for local people to train.Develop new work processes since it was the second year of the company producing innew seedable areas.We had a large system of reservoirs and 9 circular pivots of 30, 50 and 70 hectares. Imanaged the extraction pumps, calculated the flow rate (mm per hour), recorded allirrigation events, among other activities.Cleaning of new fields (deforestation, with its different phases or stages, until soilpreparation for seeding).Achieve volume, quality and cost objectives, in line with budget expectation.Results:What I am very proud of is to have overcome the various obstacles and shortcomingsof an agricultural project in its second year and to have achieved the planting andharvesting targets set by the company. It was a busy environment that I enjoyed and avery fulfilling experience.I prioritized staff training, fostering a culture of continuous learning, equipping teammembers, with the necessary technical know-how. I could contribute to andimplement occupational health and safety requirements (OH&S) in work teams.
