Bantuan Stimulan Perumahan Swadaya (BSPS) is a program aimed at improving housing conditions for underserved communities and Low-Income Groups (Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah) by empowering them to achieve decent housing based on their capabilities. BSPS operates on the principles of community empowerment and addresses issues such as inadequate housing, extreme poverty, and the enhancement of housing and settlement quality.Throughout my internship at PUPR, I had the privilege of participating in the BSPS Activity Support program, where I had the opportunity to learn while engaging in the mission of improving housing access for underserved communities. This program is designed to empower communities to achieve decent housing based on their capabilities and aligns with the SDGs. During my time, I was involved in various aspects, including coordinating with local authorities, gaining insights into identifying potential beneficiaries, conducting awareness campaigns, and learning the intricacies of planning home improvements. I also had the chance to observe the procurement process, oversee construction quality, and gain valuable experience in ensuring accurate financial reporting. This experience allowed me to witness firsthand the importance of building community capacity and adhering to program procedures, all of which provided valuable insights and contributed to my learning experience.
