I am considered a very effective and poised bi-lingual public speaker (live or on TV & Radio), noted also for highly developed writing skills. I enjoy editing and writing marketing copy, and have a talent for creative, cross-cultural translations.WHAT LANGUAGE DO YOU DREAM IN? I dream in Spanish or English, depending on the subject matter. Came to NYC when I was 9, thereafter it was a long stretch of boarding schools, culminating at the University of Pennsylvania and Wharton. All together, I have spent approximately half of my life in the U.S. and the other in Venezuela, and hold dual citizenship. Along the way, I acquired extensive entrepreneurial know-how and hands on managing experience, starting with my first job in Philadelphia fresh out of college and then in Venezuela, where I was a businessman and industrialist for many years.WHAT ABOUT TODAY? I would highlight a profound understanding of the linguistic, cultural and business customs of the Hispanic community in the U.S. Thus, my constant search for projects or companies where I can add value based on my dual background, such as a cross-cultural ad agency or public relations firm. On a personal note, I admit to a passion for long distance bicycling, (150 miles/week average; frequent participant in events like the NY Gran Fondo, on three occasions, (100 + hilly miles). Remarkable stamina, if I may say so.
