I am Dorcas O Agyeman, a Ghanaian-American woman hailing from Connecticut. From an early age, I envisioned a future that seamlessly blended the prowess of Annalise Keating and the finesse of Olivia Pope—a marriage of communication and law. Beyond my professional aspirations, I harbor a deep passion for the beauty, music, and medical industries, and I am determined to weave these diverse interests into my career fabric.My journey has taken me through the dynamic landscape of Danbury Hospital, where I honed my ability to work under pressure and developed a meticulous eye for detail. The challenges posed by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic have taught me the invaluable skill of adaptability, a quality I carry into any professional endeavor.Currently, as a proud member of the Yale University community, I bring my skills to bear in supporting the University's Health Plan. A great employee, in my view, embodies attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, phenomenal customer service habits, and a robust work ethic—I embody all these attributes and more.In my role as one of the International Student Program Coordinators at Eastern Connecticut State University, I dedicated my days to crafting event plans for incoming international students. As the three-term president of the African Student Association, I successfully led large-scale functions, honing my delegation skills and fostering a sense of inclusivity. Our efforts resulted in winning three awards for inclusivity through the programs I coordinated.Volunteering as a Program Coordinator for the communication department at the Greater Hartford Seventh Day Adventist Church, I collaborate with youth to organize educational programs.
