At Poko we are building a legal-tech product to allow Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAOs) to incorporate legally, cost-effectively and efficiently. - Incorporated SPV and Private limited companies to create compliance checklist for DAOs;- Researched into permitted and exempt activities for SPVs in AIFC to determine which DAO activities aresuitable for the legal wrapper;- Researched into foundation structure to determine suitability for Zakat farmer donation charity client;- Researched governance protocols (Compound Governor, Aave) and prepared feature list for product;- Liaised with regulators to:(a) understand fintech and regulatory sandbox in AIFC and scope for incorporating DAOs within existing legal structures;(b) pitching points of practical improvement through our UX to help create a workable framework- e.g., removal of IIN requirement for every CEO, DAO tax exemption, simplification of bank account opening and integration via APIs etc;- Moderated and curated a webinar on legal wrapper for DAOs with BANKLESS and KARM legal.

- Researched on question on DAO compliance considerations (types of legal wrapper/structures, compliance with FATF guidelines, possible extent of DAO liability etc.);- Drafted IP Assignment Agreement for no code NFT platform for their Charity Auction;- Researched and advised startup on employment contracts for digital assetcreators and important clauses therein; - Reviewed and evaluated 30+ blockchain startup pitches for novel incubation programme- Created complex blockchain case studies for startup founders to solve and prepare pitch decks for (topics included NFT ticketing, Carbon credit tokenization, crypto insurance etc)- Wrote articles on tokenization of warehouse receipts and on the scope and challenges of the Bitcoin Lightning Network (with focus on money laundering and terrorist financing concerns)
