As a certified substitute teacher, I have been able to successfully network and apply all skills that I have studied in my education program at Western Michigan University. This real world experience in the field of education has allowed me to better transition into a full-time professional role in an Elementary School setting.

As an undergraduate student at Western Michigan University, I was committed to growing in all areas of my life though education, global engagement, and professional experience.

As the New Student Orientation Intern, I supervised a staff of 40 student leaders to facilitate the New Student Orientation Program at Western Michigan University.In part with this position I coordinated and implemented a full month leadership development course, which included a full customized curriculum. Additionally, I assisted in the coordination in gaining the support from various campus departments to create a truly cohesive experience for the students and families we serve.Prerequisite position: Student Orientation Coordinator Orientation Student Leader

As a Bronco Bash Coordinator, I work on a team of five individuals who design, plan, and implement the biggest programming event that occurs at Western Michigan University. This event see's nearly 20 thousand people from our University and greater Kalamazoo Community.

As the Student Affairs Chair, I acted as a vehicle of communication between the student body and the administration of Western Michigan University.I was able to successfully implement this communication and change through programming, written resolutions, and various meetings with university professionals.Please ask, if you would like to learn more about the special projects I implemented while in my term.

As a First-Year Seminar [FYS] Student Instructor, I co-facilitated a first-year college transition course for new students at Western Michigan University.In my first-year in this position, I co-instructed the classic version of this course. Our course emphasized how beging actively involved at the university and surrounding community could only assist you as a successful student at Western Michigan University.This experience led me to co-instruct a themed course revolving around the topic of leadership development and how that plays a significant role in their success as a first-year student at Western Michigan University.

As a Resident Assistant I aided first-year students in their transition to University life through programming, mentorship, and leadership development.
