This role's primary function was the continual management and improvement of Accenture's internal Datacentre and associated physical and virtual infrastructure. Responsibilities included the full migration of the Accenture datacentre from one physical location to another, as well as deploying and decomissioning infrastructure (both physical and virtual), management of backup jobs and tapes (Legato Networker), as well as the upgrading of the vSphere environment from version 3.5 to 4.0.A knowledge of the Windows Server 2000 and 2003 operating systems was required along with standard Microsoft services such as AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, along with vSphere products, Linux operating systems and many more.
