Director, Medicaid And Health System Partnerships
CurrentLead the organization's Medicaid and health system partnerships portfolio and support efforts to advance cross-agency collaboration between state and territorial public health and Medicaid agencies. Lead technical assistance requests from members related to Medicaid, population health, healthcare financing, and workforce, and manage the development of related policy statements to support the organization's advocacy efforts. Support projects to drive collaboration between Medicaid and public health agencies leveraging data sharing and analysis, Medicaid coverage and service delivery, and alignment on key priorities across agencies (such as health-related social needs, maternal and child health, infectious disease, STIs, immunizations, and preventive services like tobacco cessation). https://www.astho.org/topic/population-health-prevention/healthcare-access/medicaid/ 2020: Led a Telehealth Taskforce to support ASTHO's COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command System during the COVID-19 public health emergency. Provided on-demand technical assistance to state/territorial health agency leadership to support their efforts to rapidly stand up telehealth solutions during COVID-19 through the implementation of emergency declarations and regulatory levers. Continue to provide subject matter expertise on telehealth to various affiliate organizations, including the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs. 2018-2020: In partnership with CDC and the Center for Health Care Strategies, provided support to state Medicaid and public health team's through the CDC's 6|18 Initiative - which targets six high-burden, high-cost health conditions with evidence-based interventions to improve health and control healthcare costs. Acted as liaison between partner organizations and ASTHO's programmatic teams to ensure comprehensive cross-team support of technical assistance and capacity building efforts.
