My professional mission statement is to improve the lives of marginalized humans with an emphasis on building equity in systems.I have spent the last 20+ years working in the human services sector and living my belief that we are all in this together. My goal in any job is to utilize my energy and expertise to leave things better than I found them. More than anything, I have a sense of urgency for helping anyone who is struggling.My sweet spot is in demonstrating how creative, innovative problem-solving around seemingly intractable social issues can drive success for business and society - progress but not at the cost of people.When I am not working, you can find me (usually outside) with my children; having impromptu kitchen dance parties; providing volunteer leadership for community nonprofits aligned with my values; and working to promote diversity and inclusion in my community. My wife and I were foster parents for 11 years and are also trans-racial adoptive parents which is part of my lived experience that has profoundly impacted how I move in the world.
