• Assisted with process and equipment validation in the B100 facility, built to produce five-component acellular pertussis, tetanus, and diphtheria vaccines. Primarily working with the upstream process engineering team.• Worked to assist with pre-engineering process development and process validation, but also worked with the Centre of Expertise department for the completion of lab-based research and development studies.• Worked extensively in a BSL-3 lab setting, developing proficiency in biochemistry techniques such as SDS-PAGE, protein assays, Western Blot, ELISA, Gram stain, and Limit of flocculation testing. Also experienced in sterile manipulation of cell cultures and microscopy imaging.• Developed expertise in process control systems, becoming adept in handling software such as Emerson DeltaV and PI Vision.• Assisted with process and equipment troubleshooting, utilising engineering principles to actively develop solutions and coordinate with other departments to resolve issues encountered during process validation.• Directly involved in the development of over 50 pieces of official documentation consisting of SOPs, process study procedures and reports, process validation documentation, process records, and quality validations. • Experienced working in a GxP environment and working within GxP guidelines. Specifically, adhering to GMP and GDP throughout engineering development phases and GLP and GCP during bioprocess research.

• Conducted maintenance and installation of new components on the primary plate distillation column and observing column operation.• Developed CAD models for custom mechanical parts for machining and floor plan schematics indicating electrical wiring and lab equipment.• Responsible for the management of multiple facility improvement projects aimed at increasing operation efficiency as well as ensuring departmental compliance with Environment, Health and Safety standards.• Managed the supply of mechanical parts and liaison with suppliers and manufacturers for the procurement of components and chemicals.• Familiar with 2015 WHMIS and GHS chemical organization systems and graduate level departmental chemical lab safety training. Also assisted with the development of future safety training curriculums.
