I work with both NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory in Seattle, WA and UW's Joint Institute for the Study of the Ocean and Atmosphere (JISAO) scientists to coordinate lab research program activities. I also assist in program planning, management and communications with NOAA headquarters which includes writing and delivery of lab and program research plans, progress and performance reviews; meeting coordination and management, serving campus service committees, organizing and convening internal workshops and meetings, seminar series, and conferences. I communicate research results outside of the laboratory through updating web stories, press releases, responding to information request from stakeholders and legislative staff and as well as coordinate the lab's outreach efforts to engage students to purse a field in marine sciences and the public about the work done at the lab.

As a full time teaching associate for an introductory biology course in the Department of Biology, I taught six 2-hour lab sections per week with up to 24 students in each. During lab, activities and assignemtsn emphasized statistical analysis and experimental design on topics ranging from Mendelian genetics, evolution, ecology, diversity and conservation biology. I held weekly office hours and attended in all lectures to asssit in small break out discussions and in class assignments and exam proctoring. I assisted in revising existing lab exercises, and worksheets, or wrote new ones, when applicable. I developed exam questions and keys and graded exams and lab reports. I participate in weekly lab meeting with teaching assistants to share past experiences and knowledge.

Worked with the shellfish biotoxin monitoring program at WA Department of Health. The program monitors marine biotoxins found in Puget Sound and WA coastal waters in various Molluscan shellfish. Ianalyzed the Department of Health's data set that has been collected from 1957 with information on different biotoxins, shellfish species, monitoring sites, and collection dates for trends on various geographical scales, commercial/recreational closures, correlations with climate data, as well as a way to visualize the data for the public
