  • University Of Waterloo
    Mechanical Analysis Engineer (Research Role)
University Of Waterloo Feb 2024 - Present
    Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
    - Conducted comprehensive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations using Ansys to analyze heat distribution and smoke flow within barbeque grills. These simulations provided crucial insights into optimizing grill performance and enhancing user experience. Currently working on publishing a research paper on this.- Spearheaded the development of miniature water turbines, driving innovation in sustainable technologies, and advancing renewable energy solutions, aimed at serving as a case study and design project for engineering students at the University of Waterloo.- Conducted FEA simulations in Ansys to analyze design modifications on barbeque grills, ensuring structural integrity and enhancing product performance.
  • Dana Incorporated
    Product Engineer
    Dana Incorporated Jan 2023 - Apr 2023
    Oakville, Ontario, Canada
β€’ (Potential Patent): Invented a concept that reduced internal leakage from 20% to 0% for a 3-Way electric valve. β€’ (Potential Patent): Invented a highly efficient disk valve design with 0% internal leakage, reduced size by 50%, and lowered pressure drop from 50% to 20% (Compared to original 3-Way valve).β€’ (Potential Patents): Invented a versatile and modular multiport valve that enables individual proportion flow control in multiple loops using a single actuator. The concept ensures minimal pressure and flow rate decrease. β€’ (Potential Patent): Invented a Valve with 0% internal leakage, 20% reduction in size and lowered pressure drop from 50% to 40% (Compared to original 3-Way valve). However, it had poor flow control requiring improvement.β€’ Conducted comprehensive testing and performed force analysis for optimizing multiport valve performance.β€’ Proficiently utilized Arduino programming for control and lifecycle testing of multiport, 3-way, and Gemini valves.
  • Aiimsense
    Mechanical Engineering Assistant
    Aiimsense May 2022 - Aug 2022
    Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
All projects were designed in Solidworks with engineering practice kept in mind.1. Responsible for the mechanical design of Aiimsense's Intersection Monitoring Unit Version 2. V2 of the IMU was much more compact, durable, waterproof(IP67 rated) and easily manufacturable. The purpose of the IMU is to act as a multi-purpose sensory unit with a bunch of capabilities. It would ideally be used to monitor patients or be placed at traffic intersections.2. The RSU designed by me was the very first iteration, it is similar to the IMU except that it is smaller and isn't multipurpose.3. I designed an extremely compact transceiver coupler system unit which holds a vector network analyzer kit. This unit is made using aluminum sheet metal and fastened using self-clinching fasteners. The unit would be placed inside the portable head scanner that Aiimsense is developing(it detects strokes).4. Designed a rubber cover for sensors (these are installed in the head scanner), and also designed the mould required to produce the cover. The mould was 3D printed and tested to produce rubber covers that were 0.3mm thick. Also researched and selected a rubber which passed all biocompatibility requirements so it could be used in the health sector.
  • University Of Waterloo
    Robotics Team
University Of Waterloo Oct 2020 - Aug 2022
    Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
I am part of the mechanical sub-team. My current experience from the team includes...Leading the design of a custom haptic controller for a 6 DOF robotic arm mounted on team’s Mars Rover.β€’ Built a lightweight PCB board mount enhanced with aluminum in SolidWorks which can tolerate high temp.β€’ Designed an encoder mount in SolidWorks which facilitated the existing OTC encoder mount and strengthened it.β€’ Debugged high-level assemblies of the robot by coordinating with entire sub-team enhancing robot CAD model.β€’ Expert in GrabCAD and working on a shared server to communicate designs allowing for streamlined workflow.
  • Mary Agrotechnologies (Otcqb: Mrryf, Cse:Mary)
    Mechatronics Engineering
Mary Agrotechnologies (Otcqb: Mrryf, Cse:Mary) Sep 2021 - Dec 2021
    Markham, Ontario, Canada
β€’ Designed a lock using SolidWorks which would clamp on the Mary Grow Box, allowing users to prevent children from opening the doors to their grow box. The design was optimized for mass production. The design also matched the aesthetic of the Mary Grow Boxβ€’ I did Quality Control/rework on production units, established a new QC Plan reducing rework time by 30%.β€’ I designed and programmed the firmware for the vertical farming prototype which would control the farm and optimize plant growth, used stepper motors and Arduino Uno. I also assisted with the manufacturing and assembly of prototype.β€’ I soldered and helped design/program the PCB which controlled the spectrum of light and light intensity of the artificial sunlight used in the prototype. Furthermore, I used a voltmeter and oscilloscope to test and debug the PCB.β€’ I designed a Lathe Adaptor in SolidWorks used for the compound rest on the lathe. The adaptor's durability was tested using stress simulation.

β€’ Setup up an accurate ground truth system by using RT3000(INS) allowing us to test our sensor fusion algorithm.β€’ Integrated a pipeline that takes in sensor fusion and ground truth CAN data and synchronizes it. Also developed a visualization tool in MATLAB that allows us to compare our sensor fusion algorithm to ground truth. β€’ Adapted binary classification script(used to analyze SF performance) making it compatible with INS ground truthβ€’ Lead for CAV’s System Safety where I coordinated with the team making sure all the safety requirements were met. Used Excel and Confluence to maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix and organize meetings.β€’ Improved Systems Safety by adding β€œContributors” to the RTM and making it more accessible to team members. β€’ Implemented live communication between vehicle and radar over CAN bus using CAPL allowing us to test radar.β€’ Developed sensor fusion scripts using ROS/c++ and the KVASER library in Linux environment, which enabled us to output messages to CAN bus. Tested the output to the CAN bus using Canalyzer and Vector hardware.β€’ Soldered DB9 wires and designed termination resistors allowing us to connect to Vector hardware and test CAN.
