As First Year Representative, I had the amazing opportunity to shadow three unique portfolios through the cross-functional planning of student conferences and events. With the Corporate Relations team, I gained experience in building long-term relationships with marketing professionals, as well as securing partnerships and sponsorships. I had a great experience with the Marketing team where I designed and executed social media content and boosted member engagement through email marketing.At the end of the year, I worked with our other First Year Representative to host our own networking event, Rendezvous. We were responsible for inviting delegates, planning logistics, and marketing. I learned so much through this experience, and the event was a hit!

During my time with Global Fashion Collective, I was able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, which exposed me to collaborative opportunities with several different cross-functional teams in the planning of our shows in Tokyo, Paris, London, Milan, and Vancouver. I learned so much about fluent communication with these diverse teams. The most exciting part of my job was performing market research and compiling a list of influencers to invite to our fashion shows!
