About Ahkar Min Thant
Hello! My name is Ahkar Min Thant (Eddie) and I'm a sophomore Mechanical Engineering student with a Paper Engineering minor. Over the past summer, I interned at Engineers Without Borders - USA where I reviewed over 500 technical reports to create a 16-page report summarizing 120 technical lessons learned from past projects. On campus, I serve as the Local Projects Co-Manager of Miami University's Engineers Without Borders chapter. As the Co-Manager, I help sort out travel logistics, keep records of our progress, and facilitate communications between our mentors and volunteers. I also volunteer with the Presidential Fellows Project on campus. Additionally, I am part of the Scholar Leaders Living Learning Community and the Lilly Leadership Institute which is an intense multi-year certificate program for personal, people, and professional development.
