Nature of job:• Commissioning the S7 PLC program in the rolling mill area and up to the cooling conveyor. This included setting the right configurations and in some case making changes to the code in order to correct some mistakes or provide new process capabilities based on the request of the customer.• Commissioning the HMI SCADA systems (WINCC, OWS) along with the analysis program FDA.• Using S7 program for troubleshooting the field instruments, discovering problems and directing the technicians for correction. • Supporting the operation team by answering some operation inquiries by reading the PLC program (Conditions, interlocks, etc).Facilities and processesworking with:Rolling mill facilities and processes that include:• Rolling table, interface with the furnace, speeds and drive commands of the mill stands and the FAST FNISHING BLOCK (FFB), and bar tracking.• START/STOP CVSB SHEAR, its grease unit, and its rolling table.• The mill auxiliaries: Lubrication units, grease units, Hydraulic units, stand auxiliaries (gaps, grooves, etc, the local panels, besides to the control of the workshop.• FFB Auxiliaries (lubrication unit, hydraulic unit, air unit, booster pumps, air-oil unit), laying head auxiliaries (lubrication unit, air unit), cooling conveyor drive control, and interface with the finishing area.Control Systems working with:• SIEMENS S7 PLC 400 series.• WINCC.• OWS.• FDA

METKA is a Greek company working in the construction of combined cycle power plants. I worked for METKA in the project of DEIR ALI power plant near Damascus.Nature of Job:• Commissioning the instruments and control systems.• Troubleshooting and rectifying the problems of instruments and control systems before final commissioning procedure. • Debugging and reprogramming parts of the control systems programs.Facilities working within:In depth: Water pretreatment, water treatment, Gas reduction and metering station. Stack emissions monitoring systems (CEMS).To a less extent: Gas turbines.Instrument working with:In depth: Pressure and differential pressure transmitters, temperature RTD and thermocouple transmitters, level head and ultrasonic transmitters, flow magnetic and ultrasonic transmitters, PH Analyzers, REDOX analyzers, conductivity analyzers, chemical dosing pumps ,NOx, CO,Co2 ,So2 and O2 analysers.To a less extent: Motorized valves.Control systems working with:In depth: Siemens S7 PLC 300 and 400.
