I come from two seemingly distant backgrounds, Fine Arts and programming. Since I was a kid, I always liked drawing and colors. I used to draw on any paper, with any pen. As I grew up, I leaned towards science studies, but never forgot drawing, it was still my strongest skill, and eventually won the battle! I was lucky to go to the Faculty that fulfilled my hobby, Fine Arts in Alexandria, Egypt. I specialized in Painting, which was the closest section to what I like to do the most.I learned a lot about Art, colors, and deepened my drawing skills. but also learned it was not the perfect way to make a living. At first, I tried to work in the field of Graphic Design, and had some success, but it was never fun and I realized it isn't the way I wanted to pursue. Luckily, I was introduced to the world of programming, through a software called Flash, back in 1999, and I was instantly hooked!Flash was the answer, since it combined the world of animation, and the world of interactivity, through its coding language, Actionscript. I loved its ease of doing animation, but my interest gradually shifted to coding, and I was finally lucky to have a job that required Flash. I further studied Actionscript till I was the first Egyptian to be certified by Macromedia (now Adobe) as a Flash Developer in 2002!Flash was made to be loaded inside a browser, and Actionscript was a web ready language that introduced me to the world of web programming, so then I gradually loved everything about it! I learned html, xml, css and javascript, which was an EcmaScript language just like Actionscript. Then I felt the need to have a background about server side programming, so I started with php, and was able to link the client side to the server side. I then learned many languages like C#, python, MySQL and more, and through time, I also shifted my career to web programming.As Flash started to fade out in the past 5-10 years, I was able to do the hard shift to front end programming. I'm currently trying to better improve my skills to catch the fast growing development of front end programming, so I'm learning new languages and technologies everyday including Node.js, React and Laravel. I'm still best in whatever combines the worlds of Art and Programming, and I constantly trying to find what connects both. I even learned about Robotics and used Arduino and Raspberry PI to do some fun projects that did the trick! Rassem, a little robot drawing car was one I made to do just that :-)
