-The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) implemented Northern Emirates soil survey project activities through a professional contractor, GRM International.-The purpose of the project is to have digital soil information to aid in broad land use planning and agricultural expansion in the Northern Emirates. The ultimate goal of the Northern Emirates soil survey project is to ensure that land-use in the Northern Emirates is sustainable through enhancing the available knowledge of soils.-Assisted the soil survey of the northern emirates, as a laboratory manager, to maintain a record of soils samples to be tested in the lab as well as prepare them for submission to other soil laboratories, and to maintain a soil archive at the work area. Assisted Mapping Crew Leader/Senior Soil Surveyors in the preparation of soil monoliths.-Performed Laboratory setup and implemented SOP's and processes to maximize effectiveness of the Laboratory.

-Provided assistance and coordination support for Project Managers to ensure overall satisfaction of regional client base.-Worked with clients regarding water and soil samples to determine specific lab testing needs and received all client submissions to ensure they are received in a timely manner according to sample holding time, due date, and / or received date.-Collaborated and communicated with all levels of staff and management on a day-to-day basis, in relevance to the status and profile of samples.-Provided detailed review of all submissions and respective CoCs and other sample documentation.-Maximized effectiveness of applications, systems and resources within the Sample Reception area proactively, to meet established Turnaround time, service requests and client satisfaction.
