About Ahmad Haidar

My interest lies in applying control theory and Bayesian modeling to solve diabetes physiological and clinical problems, using a highly interdisciplinary bench-to-bedside approach. The development of the artificial pancreas is the current focus of my research.I have broad experience in team, budget, and project management. I recruit, train, and supervise personnel, have led several clinical trials, and coordinate collaborations with other academic and industrial partners. Methodological Knowledge:• Control theory• Randomized controlled clinical trials• Bayesian estimation• Glucose-isotope tracers in metabolic researchI am also the director of McGill Certificate in Translational Biomedical Engineering. This certificate provides biomedical engineers with the skills required to succeed in the biomedical engineering industry. We provide training in intellectual property, quality management systems and regulatory affairs, and clinical trials, as pertinent to medical device development.
