• Planned and Design Telecommunication Projects for Optical Fiber Cable laying, jointing, Testing and SDH, DWDM Network Installation Nodes.• Performed Site Survey, Prepare BOQ and both technical and financial Estimates for Cable Links and Network Elements.• Performed testing (Optical , Electrical) of Optical Fibers after terminations and Jointing for different measurement protocols by OTDR (EXFO & ACTERNA) and Power & Source Meters, CD tools and keeps proper record of all logs. • Prepared Checklist and protocols for Commissioning of both OSP and ISP.• Link budget analysis, Alarm and Performance management and Report generation through NMS of network elements (T2000 Huawei).• Coordination with NOC, Tx Planning, BBU departments for fault managements, planning issues, media requirements, leased fibers projects, Fiber routes, and creation GPS maps on daily basis• Managed the teams of vendor’s engineers and technicians for OSP works, Jointing and testing activities, installation of Transmission equipments.• Performed Technical Evaluation of Proposals Submitted by Multiple Vendors for OSP, SDH, and DWDM Installation works.Some of the projects delivered/worked upon during this tenure were:1. Telecomm traffic integration and transfer to Company’ own optical cable network from Microwave and Leased lines from other sources was done smoothly. Network Planner and Field Engineer for Planning and Supervision of Lahore (33BSc in 3Rings, 110Km cable), Sahiwal(8BSc in 2Rings, 16Km) OFJANs projects for BSCs level optical fiber connectivity project.

• PMO Office Duties:o Site Surveying, preparation of BOQ and Estimates for Optical Fiber Cable laying and for the Installation, Testing and Commissioning of SDH projects. o Acquisition Right Of Way (ROW)o Execution of OFC Laying as per PTCL standard TR-192 and Splicing of Optical Fiber Cable on various routes. o Testing of losses and other parameters of Optical Fiber Cable after laying according to PTCL standards. o Pre-shipment testing of various parameters of Optical Fiber Cable as per PTCL TR-109A standards.o Management of Media Requirement of PTCL. o Planning and Coordination with Vendor (Huawaie) for Turnkey project of SDH system installation and Traffic configuration, Proper Handing over to Maintenance department as per defined testing protocols.o Pre-qualifications & Tender Evaluations of different Vendors for the supply of SDH, DWDM systems as per pre-defined PTCL documents and preparing comparison and certain quarries reports for Higher Management and to vendor respectively. o Management and execution of the PTCL Optical Fiber Junction and Access Network (OFAN) project including pre-installation Survey, Civil Works including new duct formation, formation of bases, lead-in etc, ROW acquisition, Commercial Power Supply arrangement, Laying of Optical Fiber Cable in ducts and Installation of ONUs, OLTs,V5 interfaces etc in Sialkot and Muridkey Exchanges Area. o Management of a Team of Supervisors and Technician for smooth running and achieving organizational and individual goals. • Major Projects Completed: o Planning and Construction of about 250 Km OFC connecting about 14 cities on fiber, shifting traffic to SDH system from Microwaves (PTCL OFNS Department).o Planning and Implementation of OFJAN Project in Sialkot and Muridkey Exchanges Area (PTCL OFNS Planning Department).o Member of Technical Evaluation Committee for SDH, DWDM systems (PTCL OFNS Department)
