Ahmad Masa’deh is a Jordanian politician and international diplomat who served in the past as minister, ambassador and chief of an international institution.As Minister for Public Sector Reform, he articulated and supervised a national program for reforming public administrations and civil service. As the 7th Jordanian Ambassador to the European Union, NATO, Belgium, Norway and Luxembourg, he focused on augmenting relations between Jordan and the member states of the European Union as well as Jordan-Atlantic relations. As the first Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean, elected by 43 member states of the Union, he focused to benefit the peoples of the Mediterranean region and managed to develop a strategic policy for developing this region and managing, executing and financing effective developmental projects in the areas of renewable energy, water, environment, transport, civil protection and higher education. Apart from his political career, Ahmad Masa’deh is an attorney at law and the Managing Partner of Khalaf Masa’deh LLC in Amman, one of the leading Jordanian law firm established over forty five years ago. He has been practising and lecturing in law since 1993. He entertains a long list of clientele included prestigious local entities and international conglomerates. From 2000 to 2005 he was Assistant Professor of International Business Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Jordan. Dr. Masa’deh has written and published extensively in international trade law.
