- Participating in the client acceptance and risk assessment processes- Participating in the formulation of the Audit plan, Performance of audit procedures, delegating and reviewing the work of junior staff and the finalization of engagements.- Obtaining an understanding of the entity and Its environment.- Obtaining an understanding of major accounting processes and internal control procedures of the entity and the identification of risks of material misstatements.- Performing substantive procedures including analytical procedures on various areas of financial statements.- Providing the client with detailed report regarding the audit findings and control deficiencies with suggestions to help in Improving the internal control efficiency and risk reduction.- Participating in/leading meetings with clients regarding audit planning, progress update, financial statements and other business matters.- Preparation of proposed draft financial statements in accordance with international financial reporting standards for discussions with manager and client.- Assistance in mapping the GAAP/IFRS chart of accounts of several international companies operating in Iraq, to the local Iraqi unified accounting system - Performing non-audit assurance engagements including major reconciliations and other accounting related agreed-up-on procedures. Non-audit assurance engagements included planing and performing of specifically tailored procedures and the preparation of special reports.- On job training of Junior staff regarding audit procedures and communicating effectively with client's staff in addition to continuance supervision and guidance.- Conducting timely staff evaluations and providing performance feedback.
