The primary objective of the study is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the power sector in Sudan aimed at identifying constraints to increased access to energy in the country and potential solutions to ease the constraints. The study will prepare a comprehensive prioritized recommendations (actions) and necessary strategies for AfDB intervention in Sudan power sector, indicating hard infrastructure (capital investment financing) and soft infrastructure (support in sector reform, technical assistance and capacity building needs in the electricity (generation, renewable and non-renewable, transmission, and distribution).

I’m Renewable Energy Specialist working as Renewable Energy Specialist for the “Promoting Utility Scale Power Generation From Wind Energy in Sudan” Project. The project is financed by Global Environment Facility (GEF), United Nation Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of Water Resource, Irrigation and Electricity in Sudan. This project is concern about Policy and institutional regulatory framework adoption. Moreover the project focuses on mobilizing increased wind power investment in Sudan through enabling policy and regulatory frameworks. In addition to strengthens the renewable energy component of Sudan's long-term energy plan, explores the costs and benefits of a range of financial incentives, and integrates policies and codes, in particular, to comply with the East African Power Pool members, which are envisaged to trade power with Sudan through a common grid in the future.

Update of the Sudan Programme Design Document by African Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) and Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) in the development of the AECF’s Renewable Energy and Adaptation to Climate Technologies (REACT) Sub - Saharan Africa (SSSA) portfolio. An Update for the report was completed on 31st August 2020, I did the update as national consultant, the update covers the political changes happened in Sudan during the 2019 and 2020, and the reflection of these changes on government structure especially on energy sector, Moreover the update process included the assessment of private sector, humanitarian agencies, CSOs and NGO outlook for project participation and possible models, legal and statutory implications of AECF implementing in Sudan and detailed assessment of Sudan’s financial and banking sector.

• National Expert for MRC Group Consultants and Transaction Advisers in Study of “Advisory Support for Electricity Tariff Reform in Sudan” prepared for International Finance Corporation, World Bank From January 15th to 1st of July 2020.The World Bank initiated its assessment of the Sudanese electricity sector through a diagnostic study conducted in 2018-2019. That study served to estimate the deficit in the power sector and proposed an Electricity Sector Recovery Plan that identified priority areas for performance improvement and cost recovery.The study on the Interim Electricity Tariff Roadmap dives deeper into the specific issue of updating electricity tariffs. It includes recommendations on possible alternatives to ensure power system’s financial sustainability while at the same time liberating economic resources from the Government to be used for other socio-economic needs. A possible solution is finally selected to serve as interim roadmap for tariffs.

From 2007 to 2010, served as Project Engineer at Kosti Thermal Power Station, overseeing the design and installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, fire alarm and fire fighting systems, plumbing, and overhead travelling cranes (OHTC). Additionally, managed the engineering of crude oil storage tanks and tank farm piping in accordance with API and ASME standards, as well as the engineering of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, engines, fans, and blowers.
