Technical Duties:Design and Implementation: Design, plan, and oversee the implementation of WASH activities, ensuring technical standards and designs are consistently applied throughout the project.Implementation Models: Develop suitable implementation models based on assessments of contracting and direct implementation options.Developed and implemented flood risk reduction strategies, including earlywarning systems and community-based disaster response plans.Conducted vulnerability assessments and risk mapping to identify high-risk areas and prioritize interventions.Offer technical solutions to WASH issues faced by IDPs/refugees and contribute to the sector-wide development of standards in Sudan.Project & Team Management:Daily Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of WASH activities, ensuring all necessary resources (logistics, staff, finance, etc.) are in place.Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring project budgets and take the lead on WASH M&E activities, providing regular updates.Support and manage staff, contributing to their capacity-building and career development.Set SMART objectives, monitor and review performance, provide corrective feedback, and take decisive action in cases of poor performance.Work Organization: Ensure work within the team is planned and organized to meet organizational needs in a cost-effective manner, with appropriate workloads for team members.Stakeholder Participation: Ensure the participation of program stakeholders, especially the targeted community, at all stages of the program cycle.Needs Assessment: Oversee the assessment of WASH needs in target communities, including local authority infrastructure projects.
