- Site survey and analysis.- Existing electrical load and energy consumption analysis and utility rate structure analysis.- Accurate system performance calculations.- Working with the project sales personnel on presentations and technical matters.- System proposal design and calculations.- Synthesis of all necessary information to develop cost effective and readily deployable PV designs.- Ability to coordinate with other design disciplines and consultants.- Preparation of detailed documentation and submittals.- Execute permitting requirements.- Execute utility connection requirements.- Generating system specifications and preparing bid documents.- Building detailed bills of materials.- Interacting with and overseeing the work of subcontractors.- Manage design staff. - Strong knowledge of wide range of industry products and technologies.- Design or coordinate design of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including system components, for residential and commercial buildings.- Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.- Create plans for solar energy system development, monitoring, and evaluation activities.- Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.- Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.- Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.

-Studying tenders and prepares technical and financial proposals-Study and prepare requests for information for various projects, follow up subcontractor’s progress.-Ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions; troubleshoots engineering related installation problems. -Tracking and managing changes orders.-Maintaining as-build as work is complete.-Documenting project issues / conditions.-Manage project library.-Prepare monthly report on progress of assigned project with assistance of schedule, costs spreadsheets and perform analysis on same.-Responsible for the all the technical aspects of customer files.
