I am a licensed architect, a trained cultural first aider and an independent researcher and consultant in the field of cultural heritage conservation and management, specialised built heritage conservation and in post-crisis recovery of urban heritage. I worked as a contractor on research and field projects based on post-crisis recovery of cultural heritage and were involved in the editing, review, and translation of scientific publications of relevance for ICCROM's (The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) Regional Office in Sharjah, UAE. I have previously worked as Assistant Lecturer for built heritage conservation at the Department of Architecture in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Alexandria University in Egypt between 2017 and 2019. I have been professionally committed to the education of Architecture since 2011, and have become specialised in built Heritage conservation after obtaining a MA degree in Heritage Conservation and Site Management from Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) and Helwan University (HU) in 2016.Prior to that, I had my BSc degree obtained in architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University (AlexU) in 2010.
