The aim of this internship is to develop a parametric FE model to simulate the reeling installation sequence and in-place conditions and to check the integrity of reelable bulkheads in Pipe-in-Pipe (PIP) systems. Reelable bulkheads are forged pieces used for load sharing between the inner pipe and outer pipe and for arresting the relative movement and rotation of the two pipes.I developped a comprehensive study for the FE analysis and mechanical design of reelable bulkheads, covering design methodology, model generation and automatization for all design life phases, post processing and implementation of design criteria.

I actively contributed to various projects using modeling and simulation software (Abaqus) to analyze material strength, perform stress and deformation calculations, and validate mechanical designs.I was particularly involved in automating repetitive tasks by developing macros (VBA) in calculation software, optimizing design and analysis processes.
