My project with Prof. Sumi Helal at Mobile and Pervasive Computing Laboratory at CISE is about designing and developing architecture for things in the Iot, named Atlas architecture. The goal is to transform the thing to a more smarter and interactive thing that: 1) discover its inner capabilities, 2) form meaningful interactions with other things, and 3) seamlessly integrate into the ecosystem through pushing down device management and programmability from cloud to the thing. Designing the architecture is the first part of the project, while the second part is the enablement of real IoT engagement through defining programming model. The project is in the developing phase on different real hardware platforms and different operating environment (e.g., Raspberry-pi, Beaglebone, Qualcomm Dragon, Android smartphone).

Instructor for the undergraduate online course "Programming Fundamentals II". This is the second course of a two-semester introductory sequence for students without prior programming experience. Topics include major concepts of computer science and computer programming processes, including object-oriented programming, program modularity, and procedural and data abstraction.

Instructor for the undergraduate on-campus course "Computer Programming using C". This course is directed towards the non-computer science majors to get hands-on programming using C language, learning syntax and structures to build interactive and modular programs.

I was the computer engineering member of the “OPTIMIZER HEAT SYSTEMS” project team. The team built a prototype for an energy controller that facilitates smart home automation and monitor using Internet-of-Things technologies. The team was awarded the "Technology Impact Award" from the Big Idea Gator business plan competition.

Building architecture for proximity-based iBeacon that involves data visualization and analysis.

The project analyzes extremely large log files collected from the mobile networks, and uses the data analysis and mining techniques for network monitoring and event analysis.
