About Ahmed Jemaa

I am a social anthropologist researching mobility and migration in the southern Mediterranean. I am currently affiliated with the Border Studies Research Group at the University of Sousse. I hold a BA in Sociology from the University of Tunis and my academic journey continued with an MA in Social Anthropology from the Central European University in Vienna. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, I have worked as a researcher and consultant for various NGOs and participated in projects with renowned universities, including Oxford and Ghent, on topics ranging from migration to youth marginalization, gender and socio-economic rights.Amateur filmmaker and cinéphile. A proud member of the Tunisian Federation of Film Societies (FTCC), I also actively contribute to various civil society initiatives.
