• Act as the primary (FAF) representative in the Hub level and attend all relevant formal/meetings, clusters to strengthen (FAF’s) position in the area• Develop Strategies and Analyzing Context and Environment using SWAT analysis, Identifying Strategic Options through Brainstorm Options Solve Problems Evaluating and Selecting Strategic Options• Foster relationships with Government authorities, donors, UN agencies, NGO’s, and other relevant stakeholders and local counterparts and support them in their AoR.• Manage a team of 48 staff (Administrative assistance, project coordinators, M&E Officers Data entries, financial officers, logistic officers, drivers and security)• Coordinate, managing and tracking the implementation of projects donnered by: (UNDP, OCHA and UNHCR) with total budget 3.2 M $• Follow up Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) prosses to ensure quality control for each project • Closely coordinate with the senior management team based in Aden ensuring regular information flows • Provide regular analysis on the context and humanitarian situation in the area for the development of project proposals and safety assessments. • Ensure a safe and secure environment for (FAF) staff, beneficiaries and assets by ensuring the local security procedures are up to date and SOPs are being followed in line with (FAF) policy, promoting regular staff training, providing safety and security analysis, recommendations and follows-ups. • Provide leadership, support and coordination in addition overseeing of all logistical/procurement, HR/administration and office services activities and ensure their timely/efficient delivering. • Prepare and review any needed reports (monthly, monitoring and evaluation reports, human interest/success stories etc.).• Manage overall security and safety of staff in the area• Develop IT Systems (protection from malware threats, electronic data backup)

• Prepare and manage the overall project plan with the sequential steps and technical building blocks required for a successful launch and smooth start-up operation.• Perform detailed project planning, resource scheduling, progress monitoring, budget control, issue resolution and risk management.• Communicate issues to project teams and the project governing bodies in a timely manner, and coordinate intervention where necessary.• Establishing and implementing logistics procedures in line with organizational requirements• Monitoring the cost, quality, and efficiency of both the movement and storage of stock and goods• Lead quarterly review meetings and annual project reviews by monitoring the progress of project implementation, assessing results and identifying areas of weaknesses to ensure the project achieves the planned results in accordance with relevant plans• Monitor and manage any strategic risks/issues facing the project; submit new risks/issues to the Board for consideration and decision on possible actions if required; update the status of these risks/issues by maintaining the Project Risks/Issues Log• Recruits, supervises and mentors staff, ensuring regular feedback on performance; • Facilitates the work of national and international consultants and participate in missions to the area

• Support the General Manager, in the oversight of all aspects of day to day Management of the Area Program.• As agreed with the General Manager to provide direct operational line management to the specific project/program (Line Management).• Represent Al Tawasul at relevant meetings and forums at the field level • Support the General Manager in the oversight of recruitment, induction, supervision, staff development and performance management.• Manage inception activities including ensuring plans are shared with relevant stakeholders, tools/manuals/systems are established, etc.• Assist assuring that all staff operating under the auspices of the Area are kept informed of organizational policies and best practice in a timely way.• In consultation with the Area Manager and other members of the Area team, being involved with the establishment, planning, management and/or delivery of new projects/programs.• Assist managing and supervising designated members of the Area team, including regular review of their work.
