About Ahmed Refaat

Ahmed M. Refaat is an Associate Professor (PhD.) in the Department of Architecture in Assiut University since September 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering. He got his Master degree from Assiut University in 2002 and his Ph.D. from Manchester University in July 2009. Teaching for nearly 10 years in the architectural department in Assiut University, Dr. Ahmed has a considerable experience in teaching Architecture for both under- and post-graduate students. Also, he has significant IT skills including Microsoft package, AutoCad, Atlas, Spss, Depthmap, Mindwalk. The research interests of Dr. Ahmed are focusing on the morphology of the spatial structure of cities and the factors that propel their spatial transformations. Using space syntax techniques, he conducted the spatial analysis of Venice city. Italy, and Assiut City, Egypt.
