As CIO I am responsible for leading the overall information technology (IT) strategy, vision, and operations for the media organization. This includes overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of IT systems, infrastructure, processes and applications. I am also responsible for cyber security of IT infrastructure and information assets.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the company's IT roadmap, aligning with business objectives.- Identify and prioritize technology initiatives to drive innovation, efficiency, and cost savings.- Oversee IT infrastructure, including data centers, networks, cybersecurity, and cloud services.- Manage software development of back office and workflow applications and their integration with media-specific systems.- Ensure reliable and efficient IT services, including help desk and technical support.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement digital strategies.- Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and protocols.- Mitigate technical risks, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery.- Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.- Foster partnerships with IT vendors and industry peers.- Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring ROI and cost-effectiveness.

As CTO I am responsible for leading the technological vision and strategy for Express Media Group. This includes overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering infrastructure, systems, and processes that support content acquisition, creation, processing and distribution for all mediums; Print, TV and Digital (web and social). Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the company's technology roadmap, aligning with business objectives.- Stay abreast of emerging media technologies and trends for upgrading the tech in time.- Ensure reliable and efficient content delivery across platforms (linear, digital, social).- Drive innovation in content creation, news gathering systems, content processing and outputs.- Lead a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (content, creative, sales and marketing) to ensure technology alignment.- Foster partnerships with technology vendors and industry peers.- Develop and manage technology budgets, Analyze technology investments, do cost optimizations and provide strategic recommendations.

Lead the Technology and other associated departments (Broadcast, IT, Telecom, Uplink, Communications, Electrical, Archive, Transmission & Software Development) of Express Media Group in a 24x7x365 environment. Have been responsible for Broadcast and IT Operations of 8 different Print/Electronic/Digital products of the company. Managing a workforce of 100+ staff spread across 8 cities throughout Pakistan. Also responsible for IT strategy, budgeting, planning and technology decision making.
