Making phylogenetic trees to characterize it.- Genes isolation from isolated bacteria with its relatedness to its ability to degrade some hydrocarbon compounds in the polluted environments. DNA isolation from bacteria by silica membrane method or by salting out method. Good experience with PCR reaction, DNA manipulation, recombinant DNA technology; Excellent manipulation with PCR troubleshooting and how to solve it. Cloning techniques (ligation & transformation) of bio-technically relevant genes. Experienced in Protein expression using SDS-PAGE. Gel electrophoresis either for DNA, genes or plasmids. Plasmid isolation and extraction from bacteria. Bioinformatics: BLAST, NCBI, primer design, alignments, data banks, phylogenetic trees, literature research, etc.
