Workout And Recoveries Department

Workout and Recoveries Department main role is managing the bank's portfolio of non-performing and written-off corporate accounts. The department is able to increase the bank's recovery ratios through restructuring outstanding debts and negotiating settlement deals, in addition to highlighting the reasons behind the deterioration in the accounts' performance to avoid future recurrence. The Credit Analyst is responsible for client relationship management including settlement negotiation and debt restructure in addition to managing daily bank relations for active accounts. The Analyst is also responsible for preparing analysis, annual updates, status reports and proposals for the High Lending and Investment Committee and Board Of Directors reports in addition to preparing relevant Central Bank reports according to regulations.

Credit Analysts' Pool

Credit Analysts' Pool main role is preparing, renewing credit facilities for new and existing credit clients through preparation of Credit Approval Memos, Annual Updates and Credit Facilities Reports, whereby the Credit Analyst should satisfactorily complete a minimum number of cases following the completion of the Credit Course and prior to allocation to vacant places in Corporate Banking, Risk Management or similar areas.

Credit Course - Training

Credit Course is a rigorous training course where candidates are selected based on their GMAT scores followed by interview with a C-level panel. The course consists of several modules whereby candidates study and prepare case study presentations covering financial statement analysis, industry analysis, risk assessment, financial statement spreading and cash flow statement construction and ratios, business modeling, corporate finance, lending rationales, valuation and investment analysis, accounting, economics, statistics and various banking operations.Upon completion, candidates are allocated to various places across the bank, however Corporate Banking and Risk Management Departments are the main areas for credit analysts.

Asset Protection

Asset Protection Department main role is preparing, renewing and maintaining proper follow up on various documents needed for new or existing facilities pertaining to corporate credit clients and ensuring all documents are valid and enforceable at all times to protect the bank's rights. In the role of team head I have:- Achieved Department goal through supervision of team members / specialists in daily tasks- Trained new staff.- Reviewed department monthly reports.

- Supervised and trained new hired customer service staff.- Acted as Deputy Branch Head for 6 months, in this capacity: -Ensured implementation of branch business plan. -Supervised branch's vault and physical count.

Provided customer service for both retail and corporate clients.Performed related system operations, paper work and filing.Contributed in adopting new system and updating customers' data base in adherence to CBE regulations concerning Know Your Client policies and Anti Money Laundering laws.
