Part of the Frostbite engine systems team developed low-level systems code in cross-platform C/C++ technology for EA’s Frostbite game engine which subsequently empowers teams across many game titles (FIFA, UFC, Madden, Battlefield, PvZ, and more). These technologies span Base Level File Systems, Hardware Abstraction Layers, Memory, IO, Concurrency, and EASTL.

As a Research Assistant in the Hill lab at Western University, I contributed to machine learning research and development of bioinformatics tools. My work focused on enhancing computational methods for analyzing genomic data, particularly in the context of viral pathogens. I improved existing ML-based classification systems and developed novel deep learning approaches for DNA sequence alignment. Additionally, I engineered high-performance computing solutions, including a GPU-accelerated application, which dramatically reduced processing times for large-scale genomic datasets. These tools and techniques have been advancing the lab's understanding of emerging respiratory pathogens and accelerating the identification of new viral variants during public health crises.
