Building a general urology, men's health and female urology services at Yas Health Care (YHC) medical center. Working on establishing Yas Pelvic Health Center. A service desperately needed in the entire region. A multi-specialty approach to pelvic pain and other pelvic health issues both female and male patients. Establishing a state of the art urodynamic unit at YHC that includes the latest air-charged technology of UDS units.

• Worked in the Center for Female Pelvic Medicine at Albany Medical College under the supervision of Dr. Elise De• Managed an average of 7 patients per week with different presentations of voiding dysfunction and pelvic organ prolapsed• Performed an average of 10 video urodynamic studies and an average of 10 surgeries per week; including prosthesis, sling surgeries and lower urinary tract endoscopies• Completed academic work that included 3 research projects

• Worked in the Men’s Health Department under the supervision of Dr. Andrew McCullough• Managed an average of 70 patients per week• Performed an average of 10 testicular dopplers, 5 penile dopplers, 5 vasectomies and 1 testicular biopsy retrieval per week• Performed 3-4 major OR cases a week; this included robotic varicocele repairs, robotic vas reversals, penile and sphincter implants as well as different urethral reconstruction procedures.• Participated and completed 4 research projects. One published in the journal of Translational Andrology and Urology, one accepted as a poster abstract at the ASA conference 2014, one accepted for podium or moderated poster presentation at the 20th Annual Fall Scientific Meeting of SMSNA 2014.

ISO 9001-2008 certified, JCI accredited, 160 bed private teaching hospital. Considered as one of the leading health care providers in UAE. I helped established the urology department from scratch and carry it through the process of JCI accreditation. Currently it is one of the busiest and most successful departments in the hospital. The department managed and average 35 patients per day and an OR activities with an average of 6 operations per week including all types of open urological, laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures.

Medical Director, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) field hospital, Bagh – Kashmir, Pakistan Medical Relief Project (January 2006 – April 2007)In charge of running a 40 bed field hospital, 78 total number of staff, with out-patients, in-patients, lab, x-ray, vaccination and operating theatre departments with an average of 280 – 300 patients per day in a district heavily affected by a major earthquake. Participated in WHO health cluster meetings and coordinated closely with the International Red Cross/Crescent Movement to ensure that hospital provided care in accordance with best international medical relief standards. Instigated primary health care outreach programmes in the hospital catchment area (pop. 30,000), including first aid, vaccination campaigns, mobile clinics, integrated maternal and child illnesses programs, and community health and sanitation promotion. Worked with district MoH to implement MoH guidelines and protocols and to train MoH staff. Conducted human resource development programs including nurses’ development programs, doctors’ training programs and operating theatre staff training. Planned and prepared exit strategy for QRC Field Hospital. Monitored financial and logistical hospital issues and generated monthly reports on statistics and hospital activities.

Medical Director, Qatar Red Crescent Society, QRCS mission to Niger (14/Oct. – 16/Nov. 2005):Director of the medical projects of the QRCS in Niger relief mission including treating 3870 famine affected children in 2 major cities and 31 villages in Niger, as well as coordination with other Governmental and Non-governmental organizations. Generated periodical reports to QRC HQ and planned exit strategy from the area

Co-founded a new Iraqi medical NGO formed in 2004 and was assigned as its Head of Information and Foreign Affairs. Participated in all of its medical relief and scientific activities including liaison with Qatar Red Crescent Society in a program for establishing a trauma training center in Baghdad and training of Iraqi doctors on Emergency medicine training courses.

Founded a private sector charity polyclinic after the 2003 war in Iraq to complement the war-affected medical facilities in a neighborhood serving a population of 45000. The clinic provided medical services in internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, urology, gynecology, dentistry, ultrasonography and lab services with average consultations of 100 patients per day. My duties included recruiting doctors, paramedical and non-medical staff for the clinic and contacting other national and international NGOs to equip and support the clinic
