Entrepreneur and innovation advocate with over 7 years of experience in operations management, strategic planning, go-to-market and partnership development, and human centered design. I am particularly interested in applying my skills and experience toward the technology and innovation sector.Currently overseeing Spero Analytics, a pre-seed startup, which builds and deploys environmental surveillance networks for remote areas with limited telecom infrastructure. To date, Spero has raised $250,000 and has sold monitoring systems to Environment and Climate Change Canada.Prior to Spero, I was Director of Operations at ventureLAB. There, I was responsible for overseeing and driving strategic growth, introducing and owning new products to improve space operations, attracting tech talent to the space, building a robust community of tech entrepreneurs, managing IT and finance for the space, and directing operations for the space to ensure an uncompromising experience for tenants and space users. Before ventureLAB, I directed teams of research associates at the Centre for Global Engineering (CGEN) to manage complex multi-project initiatives with numerous global partners; create linkages between academia and the nonprofit sector; lead grant applications; and actively support the development of a Global Engineering community. Since joining CGEN, I helped grow its portfolio of research projects from 2 to 34 and directly managed 6 of those from conception to implementation. Additionally, I established a new Global Engineering capstone program, and secured and administered $5.4m in funding to support those initiatives.
