• Project Focus: Collaborated with my mentor to define the focus of my internship project: "Exploring DevOps Practices through the Development of a Website and REST API using Docker."• Web Development: Designed and built a demonstration website for NISO with responsive design using Bootstrap. • Docker: Acquired knowledge about Docker, its advantages and use cases. Automated the dockerizing and deployment process using GitHub Actions and Play with Docker platform. • REST API: Developed a simple REST API using Java Spring Boot framework, enabling communication between my website and the API.• Google Cloud: Leveraged a Linux Virtual Machine on Google Cloud. Orchestrated application deployment using Docker Compose on a shared network.• Validation: Utilized Postman for API testing to validate configurations and configured Swagger 2 for proper endpoint documentation. • Unit Testing and Automation: Implemented unit tests for the REST API, using JUnit.
