About Ahmet Öztel
I am a meticulous individual with a practical background as a Turkish teacher and program coordinator. During my undergraduate degree, I not only partook in various internships in order to gain experience as an English teacher, but I also partook in teaching Turkish as a foreign language to many students from around the globe at Istanbul Bilgi University. I further worked as the Bilgi TÜRMER coordinator, organizing classes for those wishing to partake in Turkish language courses and assisting fellow teachers with their daily duties in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. I'm currently pursuing a career as a Turkish teacher, curriculum developer and material designer because I'm interested in enriching the area with materials and teaching approaches. After my bachelor's degree and some professional work, I founded my own teaching academy named “Turkish Academy”. I officially organized my academy on 6th January 2021 and gathered more than 3000 Turkish learners. In 2022, I was awarded the Fulbright FLTA Scholarship and started to teach Turkish at New York University. I finished my Fulbright FLTA program in May 2023 and started working as a virtual Turkish teacher at prestigious scholarship program Virtual NSLI-Y along with Turkish Academy.www.turkish.academy
