Hardworking Individual with great people skills. Knowledgeable in Flexsim, a simulation design tool used to help build factory floor layouts to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profit margins. Team oriented individual who excels at team projects.During my tenure at OSU studying Industrial Engineering, I worked my way into the MECOP program, a CO-OP program designed to help get students degree related work experience before graduating. My first stint in the program landed me at Intel where I learned about high-tech high-volume manufacturing in a clean room related environment. My primary responsibility was to help with part tracking through the factory floor and to link this part flow to consumables usage at the tape-reel-die pick and place machines. My medium to perform this tracking was through excel without the aid of VBA. While more difficult, I learned a lot about excel functions through this method.My Second MECOP Internship landed me at Leatherman Tool Group. At Leatherman, I got exposure to metal manufacturing in a low to medium volume environment. My daily responsibilities included part tracking all of the parts related to one tool so that we could come to a planning meeting every morning and decide which parts needed processing at which stations and when. My long term project was to map the consumable usage to the Sales forecast B.O.M. so that orders would automatically roll-out consumables needed.My job at Seagate entailed working in a contamination group to help them reduce cost, capacity plan, improve manufacturing through simulation design, and make better capital expenditure decisions through ROI's and cost analyses. My role at Anderson Clark Interiors encompassed estimating, submittal engineering, and project managing for our commercial jobs. We provide casework and countertops for commercial projects.I operated a KOMO CNC machine at Finer Custom Cabinets & Designs. I processed sheet goods as well as solid wood, Edgebanded cabinet parts, and labeled/organized pieces for Assembly and Detailing.I did the same for DRCC in bend, CNC & Edgebanded as well as utilized the Altendorf slidesaw, sawstop/tigerstop, & made sure sheet goods coming in were up to par for our high end custom cabinetry needs.Regards,John M.
