- Cleanse, treat, and wrap different wounds e.g., pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, post-surgical wounds, and malignant wounds- Assist in debridement, UltraMist therapy, and synthetic grafts - Well-acquainted with different primary and secondary dressings based off different wound types - Recognize signs of respiratory distress e.g., change to breathing patterns, change in skin color, and change in mental orientation- Practice and acknowledge the importance of AIDET and building patient rapport - Empathetically and honestly communicate with patient regarding his/her health and outcome of treatment- Educate patient on how to prevent new and worsening of wound(s) - Document patient assessment, wound assessment, recommendations, and wound evaluation and treatment- Safely rotate and position patients
