Led user experience design in the Getty’s Web Group, collaborating closely with content specialists, developers, project managers, curators, and outside vendors. Responsible for user research, interaction design, visual design, and user testing. Facilitated design sprints for key projects. Projects included a major redesign of the Getty Museum and Getty Research Institute exhibition pages, redesign of the visitor information section, design of the new Getty360 event calendar, an online scholarly publication, and an online-only exhibtion. Founded a cross-departmental group focused on visitor and audience experience. Led effort to collaborate across departments to development user research that could be leveraged across the organization, resulting in Getty Center visitor personas and journey maps.

Designed innovative new features for a cloud printing service; collaborated on brainstorming, user flows, sketching, wireframing, and documenting specs; create high-fidelity comps and functional specs. Collaborated closely with design, business, and engineering leads in an Agile environment to strategically develop a complex, multi-stage customer deployment, prioritizing requirements based on user and business goals. Developed visual design for customer web portal extending HP visual standards into a comprehensive visual system to accommodate project needs.

Designed print, web, and interactive materials for use in diverse departments to coordinate with the overall Yale brand. Collaborated with the Yale Center for Media Initiatives to create interactive components to be used in both undergraduate classes and AllLearn, an online learning joint venture of Stanford, Yale, and Oxford Universities.

Oversaw and implemented graphic standards for the 30-plus regional and national branded websites within the Minnesota Public Radio domain, including A Prairie Home Companion and The Splendid Table; led a re-branding of A Prairie Home Companion’s web presence. Led the design of visual concepts, interfaces and graphic elements: developed compelling websites for American RadioWorks, collaborating with producers, reporters, and developers on information architecture and information design.
