My interest and expertise find a nice meeting point which makes sonography not only a career, but a hobby which seems unending in potential. My background with emergency medicine and neurology influenced my decision to pursue vascular ultrasound by developing an eye for external diagnostics based upon internal disease. The vascular system is intertwined within every aspect of the body and a specialist requires detailed knowledge of all anatomical systems, pathology, and pathophysiology to perform quality examinations. This complexity is what drew my attention to the field and I hope to expand my experience.In addition to my work life I do enjoy outdoor activities, so as dedicated as I may be at work I do not wish to be on-call if working full-time. I need a work-life balance which allows a bit of life and replenishment.At the moment I am seeking an opportunity to train in MSK ultrasound and would like to incorporate these scans into my patient lists. The peripheral nerves, incidental MSK findings, and soft tissue lumps and bumps are already a large part of my exam pathologies, but I am forced to overlook some pathology due to insufficient certifications and time. I seek to overcome these limitations by obtaining training and subsequently utilizing this skill for optimized peripheral limb assessments.
