Responsible for driving the Agenda of Digitally transforming the business of Unilever Pakistan along with leading the month end close activities for the company.Some of the responsibilities include:-Leveraging Data to bring insights for data driven decision making- Discovering and assessing new projects-Bringing together cross functional resources-Ensuring transparency-Setting of budgets and tracking of the same along with negotiating the costs of each projects with vendors.-Ensuing allocations are done accurately in SAP FI and CO module. -Timely and complete reporting.-Leading a team of 3 contractors for the month end close activities.

- Currently responsible for pension funds (7 in total) for Unilever Pakistan with a combined portfolio of around 3.5bn PKR.-Engaging external auditors to complete past years audit for all retirement funds.-Introducing processes to increase transparency within the Funds.-Managing a team of 3 people ensuring all tasks are done on a timely basis while motivating the team to come up with possible ideas to streamline the processes.-Also led the Annual statutory audit for Unilever Pakistan limited from start (preparation of accounts) to finish (finalization of the Annual report).-Liasion and with the external auditors and timely closure of the audit.-Was responsible for bank reconciliation statements which required skills to deal with several different stakeholders across functions within the company.

-Led a team of 3 capable people. Uplifted my team and was recognized internally for doing the same.-Working with all brands to forecast the Brand and marketing investments.-Provided the leadership team with insights by performing the portfolio analysis of all investments made giving a clear pathway on which brands to focus on.-Partnered with Unilever's external Media Agency in delivering brilliant result-Helped build significant controls checks both within the company and the media Agency.-Partnered the Media team by giving insights and suggestions on which mediums invest in on different occasions.-Created KPIs for areas within brand and marketing investment where calculating the return on investment was a difficult by performing historical data analysis.-Responsible for the end to end monthly closing.-Designing and implementing controls in place.-Creating multiple models and using data analytics to aid business to invest the money efficiently and with the maximum return.-Data analytics were also used to ensure a detailed analysis of monthly actuals and forecasting variance along with reasoning for the same.

I was part of the finance stream to smoothly separate Unilever's Pakistan 140Mn Eur Tea business. The role included the following:-Coordinating with the global project team and the local finance team to ensure that any instructions regarding the project separation were adhered to,-Problem solving skills were also required due to the scope of the separation and the complexities of the SAP system.-Adhering to strict deadlines,-Managing multiple stakeholders such as local finance individuals responsible for each head of the P&L,-Delivered a clean separate P&L for Unilever's Tea business from the first month of going live with the separation with little to no impact on the usual business,-Due to minimal impact and timely delivery of the P&L from the get go, Pakistan's achievement was lauded by the global M&A team overseeing project Puccini,-Was also awarded a "South Asia Finance Award" in Q4'21 in recognition of the above.

Was part of the founders team of two to introduce this function within Unilever Pakistan:-Led the materials forecasting for all major materials of all business groups of Unilever Pakistan.-Liaison with the global procurement teams on the pricing.-Developed multiple models for data analytics giving the local teams a much more detailed view.-Significantly improved the forecasting accuracy by leading a collaborative approach between local finance, procurement and the global procurement teams.

Was responsible for the Materials accounting and analysis which was worth around 50Bn rupees annually.

My responsibility was to manage and ensure the timely processing of distributor claims and accounting for it appropriately. I was also a focal part of the project implementation team of an IT software solution which simplified claims management and reduced the payments time considerably.I was also responsible to manage the budgets and the activities for trade advertising and promotion where I was able to bring the marketing and finance team together to realize absolute savings of around 90mn rupees. Apart from the above, the following were some other responsibilities I tended to in this role:-Routine audits of claims,-Evaluating the returns of discretionary trade spend i.e trade promotion,-All Closing related activities of the department, which included considerable time and expertise of SAP.-Ensuring Customer credit limits were adequate.-Compliance to internal controls such as credit management etc..
