I took my first computer class in elementary school. We didn't do much other than play KidPix and The Oregon Trail, but from that moment on I knew I would always be fascinated by technology. As I got older I would often experiment with improving the performance of my desktop computer until I gained the confidence to go head and build my very first computer at the age of 16. It is my analytical nature that attributes to these wins and allows me to break down and seek opportunities for growth and improvement.Starting my career by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps as a "Data Network System Specialist" was my first step in enterprise IT. Amongst the rigid structure I immediately recognized the importance of IT in the "corporate" environment. While serving in the armed forces I had the privilege of experience many facets of IT that included Microsoft Active Directory, system vulnerability scanning and remediation, network switching and routing, encryption mechanisms, and satellite and radio data transmissions networks. When my time serving active duty was up in 2013 I took my wealth of knowledge and skills to the commercial sector. My ability to adapt aided my successful transition to the corporate IT world. Leveraging my go-getter attitude I jumped in head first to solving many of the IT problems faced by the business. I thoroughly enjoy breaking down processes and technologies and identifying bottlenecks and areas of improvement. You will often find me asking constant questions, analyzing the existing IT organization, and talking through innovative ideas to inspire digital transformation.
