In Feburary 2019, I was asked to lead the marketing team for Saturday Kids, both in Japan and Singapore. During this time, our focus was on developing new product that would adapt to the changing market conditions (namely covid). At the same time, we were also looking at opportunities where we can move beyond coding to facilitate courses that would allow.

Started in Saturday Kids as a specialist to build marketing capabilities in the Saturday Kids Japan office. During this time, market research was conducted to identify market gaps and consumer profiles in order to frame the positioning for our offerings in Japan.

In April 2016, I had joined Kyodo New's online division to work in a start-up website called city-cost. The site was set up primarily to help foreigners integrate into the life in Japan. The job was primarily managing the marketing and content for the website. To build a strong following, we had also set up a community of content contributors and a rewards.

During this 3 month freelance period, I was working on strategy development for key accounts that included DBS, Citibank as well as the Singapore Kindness campaign. A highlight of this period is my participation in the new business pitch for Singapore Health Promotion Board.

In August 2008, I was promoted to Group Planning Director within BBDO China. By this time i was independently leading strategy development and implementation around my key accounts,. including P&G Gillette, VISA, DHL, HILTON, Disney, Allianz and Pepsico Foods.

In my role as Senior Strategic Planner at BBDO China, I was the lead strategist for a number of accounts including VISA, P&G Gillette, Pepsico Foods and Allianz. During that time, a key focus was understanding consumer behavior and gathering insights so we can create stronger work that can resonate with the new Chinese consumers.

I had joined Flamingo Research in June 2004 as a quest to hone my skills in consumer research planning and insights development. A highlight of my time in Flamingo, I participated in the Dove Real Beauty Project traveling around Asia speaking to consumers and experts, understand what beauty means in those markets and identifying the opportunities for Dove.
