Postdoctoral Research Associate In Energy Materials
CurrentAs part of the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) programme between Diamond Light Source and the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source in the UK, and Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland.My role focuses on advancing sustainable technologies through the development and application of advanced spectroscopic techniques. Specifically, I work with X-ray absorption spectroscopy, X-ray emission spectroscopy, and total neutron scattering to study electrochemical processes critical for achieving net-zero targets.Key responsibilities include: Proficient in designing and optimising electrochemical cells and catalysts for efficient CO2 conversion to value-added products.Expertise in synthesising and characterising nanomaterials and catalysts tailored for CO2RR, improving activity, selectivity and stability.Implementing modulation excitation methods within XAS, XES, and TNS for in situ/operando studies of catalysts during CO2RR, providing real-time insights into reaction mechanisms.
